The Mizu Zen / Pro Japanese toilet seat is a complete washlet that replaces your existing toilet seat. It offers front and rear jets, as well as a "soft closing" silent closure. The Zen model operates without electricity, while the Pro model requires an electrical outlet for its water heating, seat heating, and warm air drying options.

The Mizu Essentiel (cold water), the Mizu Onzen (cold + hot water) and the Mizu Zen toilet seat do not require any electricity source. They operate solely using water pressure.

The Mizu Pro toilet seat requires a dedicated grounded electrical outlet (compliant with NF C 15-100), located within 1.20 m of the toilet.

Through the natural pressure of the water network, via the T-fitting installed on your toilet's stopcock. No pump, no motor for non-electric models. The ideal pressure is between 1.5 and 3 bars—the standard for any French household network.

For Mizu Essentiel and Mizu Zen: cold tap water. The precise, localized jet is less cold than one might imagine — most users quickly get used to it.

The Mizu Onzen connects to both cold and hot water (via a second T-connection under the sink), allowing for an adjustable lukewarm jet.

The Mizu Pro seat has an integrated heater allowing the temperature to be adjusted from 35 to 40 °C.

For Essential / Onzen / Zen models: a few sheets of toilet paper or a small dedicated towel are sufficient — you reduce your paper consumption by approximately 80%.

The Mizu Pro toilet seat is equipped with integrated warm air drying, for zero paper use.

Yes, without any changes. The T-connector diverts some of the water to the bidet nozzle or seat, while the tank's water supply remains fully functional. The two circuits are completely independent.

Mizu products are compatible with the vast majority of exposed cistern toilets installed in France. Please check the following points:

• Water inlet thread 3/8" (most common) — connector included in the kit
• Accessible shut-off valve (behind or under the cistern)
• For toilet seats: fixing hole spacing between 14 and 20 cm, minimum space of 10 cm between the wall and the bowl
• For electric toilet seats: grounded outlet less than 1.20 m away

Wall-hung toilets with a cistern concealed within the wall are more complex to connect: the water supply is usually not directly accessible. If your sink is nearby, it is possible to connect via the sink's hot water (Mizu Onzen). Contact us to discuss your setup.

For Mizu electric toilet seats, a dedicated grounded outlet within 1.20 m is required. If you don't have one, you have two options:

• Have an electrician install an outlet (quick intervention, often less than €100)
• Opt for a Mizu Essentiel, Onzen, or Zen bidet, which requires no electricity

Yes, in the vast majority of cases. Mizu products are tested and compatible with Porcher, Jacob Delafon, Roca, Geberit, Duravit, Ideal Standard, Vitra, and most brands sold in France. The standard 3/8" thread has been universal in the French market since the 1990s.

No. Installing Mizu products requires no plumbing skills. Everything is hand-tightened (T-fitting, hoses) — a wrench is sufficient to complete the tightening. No soldering, no drilling, no major work.

For electric toilet seats, an electrician may only be necessary if you do not have a grounded outlet nearby.

Yes, totally. No permanent modification to your installation. Disassembly takes 5 minutes: remove the T-connection, reconnect the original hose, replace your old toilet seat. Your toilet will return to its original state without any trace.

Immediately turn off the water at the stopcock. Dry the area and pinpoint the precise source of the leak, then:

• Disassemble the affected fitting
• Ensure the rubber seal is properly centered in its housing
• Wrap 3 to 4 turns of Teflon tape (included) around the thread
• Screw it back on firmly by hand + a half-turn with a wrench

Yes. All Mizu toilet seats are equipped with a quick-release system: a button on the plate allows the seat to be detached in one second for complete cleaning of the bowl. Reinstallation is instantaneous.

Yes. Toilet paper rubs without cleaning effectively, leaving residues that can irritate the skin and promote infections. The bidet's precise water jet cleans by dilution and evacuation, in the same way you would wash another part of the body with running water.

Mizu nozzles feature a self-cleaning mode: they automatically rinse before and after each use.

For monthly maintenance, a white vinegar cleaning (10-minute soak) removes limescale from the orifices. The toilet seats can be cleaned with a standard household cleaner — avoid harsh products (concentrated bleach, strong acids).

In hard water areas (Paris, Lyon, Marseille…), progressive scaling of the nozzle orifices can occur after several months. A monthly cleaning with white vinegar is sufficient to remove these deposits and maintain an optimal spray. The seals included in the kit allow for easy replacement of wear parts.

You have 14 days from receipt to return an uninstalled product in its original packaging. Return shipping costs are your responsibility, except in the case of our error or a manufacturing defect.

Please note: any product that has been connected to water cannot be resold or accepted for return for hygiene reasons.

All Mizu products come with a 2-year manufacturer's warranty covering manufacturing defects under normal use conditions. Exclusions include: improper installation, modifications, inadequate maintenance, normal wear and tear, and aggressive cleaning products.
